Vision Events Announces Winners of the Midsize Enterprise Innovation Awards

BEDFORD, N.H., September 30, 2003 – Vision Events, a Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) company, announced the winners and nominees of the Midsize Enterprise Innovation Awards from the Central 2003 event. A senior IT executive and technology vendors were chosen and honored during the Midsize Enterprise Summit, September 10-12, 2003 at an awards dinner and ceremony at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas.

"It’s no secret that the midmarket is the industry sweet spot today," said Charles Badoian, event director for Midsize Enterprise Summit. "So it’s no surprise that the Midsize Enterprise Innovation Awards are highly sought after by all summit participants."

The hundreds of prequalified senior IT executives that attended the Midsize Enterprise Summit completed confidential ballots to select technology vendors for Midsize Enterprise Innovation Awards after previewing and learning about new technologies and products in private boardroom appointments and world premiere presentations. IT Executive of the Year
George Evans, CIO of Lexington Medical Center, was named IT Executive of the Year, and honored by his peers and technology vendors at an awards ceremony on September 12, 2003 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas. The selection was based on Evans' contributions to the overall development and success of the Midsize Enterprise Summit and his dedication to promoting networking among IT professionals within healthcare and across industries. In addition to his experience with Gartner, George is an active member of national and regional chapters of the Health Information and Management Systems Society.

Best Midmarket Solution Award Winner: NPI
For the best overall technology solution designed for the midsize enterprise.
