Awards were chosen at Midsize Enterprise Summit,
April 18-21, 2004 and honored at an awards dinner
and ceremony during the event at the Gaylord
Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee.

Niel
Nickolaisen was named IT Executive of
the Year. Niel is the CIO of Deseret Book,
where he is an expert in rapid selection,
implementation, and IT deployment. He
has in-depth knowledge of enterprise management
technologies, enterprise resource planning
applications, and storage management tools.
The
award selection was based on Niel's contributions
to the overall development and success
of Midsize Enterprise Summit and his dedication
to promoting networking among IT professionals
with midsize businesses. In addition to
his experience with Gartner Vision Events,
Niel is President of the Intermountain
chapter of the Society for Information
Management.
